Sharp Aquos LC-52D85U Can Be Fun For Everyone

Every HDTV model comes with good and bad points. The LC-52D85U also comes with an automatic backlight, which simply means that its fluorescent backlight dynamically adjusts to the amount of light in the room, so you won’t have to keep changing the brightness of the screen. It also has automatic contrast adjustments to increase the contrast ratio and create deep black levels, although these are still not as deep as those produced by Plasma televisions.

When it comes to connectivity, the LC-52D85U offers an adequate number of inputs and outputs, which are located both on the back and on the side of the panel. It has five HDMI connections, which is one or two more than most HDTV sets have, allowing you to plug in your Blu-Ray player, DVD player, satellite TV box, game console and any other HDMI-capable device you might have. of its Fine Motion Enhanced frame-interpolation system, which creates new frames to insert between the actual frames, and its 120Hz video processing system, which allows it to display 120 frames per second instead of the usual rate of just 60.

Other pros of the LC-52D85U include a 10-bit LCD screen, instead of the common 8-bit screen, which results in smoother color gradations, and a color management system which you can tweak to change the hue and saturation of each primary and secondary color. The LC-52D85U also has the Aquos Link, which is similar to the Viera Link of Panasonic HDTVs and the Bravia Sync of Sony HDTVs, allowing the user to turn HDMI-capable devices on and off with the press of a single button.

Now, let’s take a look at the weak points of the Sharp Aquos LC-52D85U. For one, its design fails to impress, with no accents or any features to make it stand out from the rest of the HDTVs with glossy, black frames. Even the design of its remote control is lacking, too, with small buttons that are difficult to press. They are difficult to distinguish from each other, too, particularly in the dark since their labels are not illuminated.

Like the remote control, the manual and the on-screen menu of the LC-52D85U are not user-friendly. The manual lacks an index so it’s difficult to find the information you’re looking for, while the on-screen menu is hard to adjust, particularly since the picture controls are linked to the picture modes and not the individual inputs. The list of the inputs is a problem, too, since they all appear regardless of whether they have a device connected to them or not, and are only labelled as Input 1 or Input 2 instead of HDMI, AV or VGA, though you can rename them to make them easier to remember. The on-screen menu remains on the screen, as well, preventing you from entirely seeing or accurately gauging the images on it.

Another weakness of the Sharp Aquos LC-52D85U is its sound. Although its sound is quite good, it is still far from being excellent, like that of many HDTV models, particularly since it lacks depth and clarity. The good thing, though, is that this problem can easily be remedied by connecting the LC-52D85U to a good surround sound system, which means you have fewer things to worry about and more reasons to consider buying the Sharp Aquos LC-52D85U.LCD TV

How Could We All Be ‘Connected’?

I overheard an interesting conversation the other day. The woman that was talking to another said that she believes we are all ‘connected’.

After thinking it over for a bit, a few questions came to mind.

If we are all connected then why do people feel lonely at times? One would presume that if we were all connected that it would be impossible to feel isolated or lonely.

Another thought is that if we are all connected why do we have so much trouble understanding each other?

Why do people miscommunicate so often? This doesn’t require much explanation because frankly, everyone has experienced the effect of misunderstandings in even the most basic of human communication.

Why do people fear telling others about bad breath, when it is easily solved with a product like therabreath? It is an act of kindness to tell someone.

Why are their wars? If we were so wonderfully connected there shouldn’t be any warfare. Any issues that come up would be rapidly solved by the innated understanding that should come from being connected.

Why is there so much diversity in our various belief systems and backgrounds. Let us face it, many cultures are almost diametrically opposed. One cultures ‘normal’ idea is another’s radical thought. This is similar to freedom fighters and terrorism. What one man calls a terrorist, another man will call a freedom fighter. This is living proof that our perceptions and beliefs are radically different from each other.

One some people call evil, others call good. How can this be? If something is bad or evil, it just is so. Why would someone else call it good?

With so many different ways of thinking, so many different believes, so many different value systems and all the variations of human thinking – how could we be all ‘connected’.

How come more people don’t find out about a good thing, such as Oramd, more quickly, if we are all, ‘connected’? 

I’m not sure there is a good answer to this. All I can say is that if *I* were in charge – all of these problems would go away! Ok- Just kidding. I’m not such an egoist.

Drugs For Anxiety

Things You Need In the Office

There are things that you need in the office that you might not first think of. I am not talking about the boring office furniture or the very dull ergonomic chair, but of some of the things you could use to brighten up those dull serviced offices to make the employees a bit happier.

Coffee Machine

Although this sounds like a very simple request, many places do not have one of these and employees are forced to go out for coffee or make it all themselves. If you think about it, not only with the employees be happier with better quality tea and coffee but it will work out for you too as they will be spending less time making the drinks!

Pool Table

They may be expensive, they may not be something you as the employer thinks is necessary but things like this actually increase the level of happiness of the employees. A plus side to having these in the office is that every so often you can have tournaments during lunch and breaks.

Television

This again is going to increase the moods of all of the people that work for youy. This is great if you are a company that needs to be always up to date with the news as you can stick the news channel on during the day. The best thing to do here is to stick on the subtitles to make sure nobody gets annoyed.

Games Consoles

In our office you can already find two big tvs, an Xbox 360 and a Nintendo wii. It means that those boring lunchtimes can be spend in a better way and all of the stress of work can be forgotten about for a bit.

Although you could possibly think these investments are not worth taking at all it could all help with the work rates.

Very Useful Office Gadgets

There are many gadgets out on the market just for the office. What are the ones you really should think about getting?

USB Gadgets

There are so many different forms of USB gadgets that it is hard to keep track of them all. The best one for my personal use has been the USB fridge which lets you fit a can of drink into it to keep it cool. You can also get something like a USB cup warmer that will keep your drink nice and warm for you as it is often easy to forget about a drink when you are doing some really in depth work.

Sound Hats

What if you are not allowed music at work? Well try purchasing one of these hats as the speakers are actually inserted into the hat to make it seem like it is an ordinary hat. You know of course that you are listening to your favourite music.

Stress Balls

Okay so they aren’t really as important gadgets as the previous ones but they sure as hell come in handy if you turn up for work in a very bad mood. Useful if you are late, get told off by the boss or if you are the boss and want to bash some skulls.

USB Hubs

These provide you with a few extra ports to plug in various USB items into. These come in a variety of different ways from the awesome looking R2D2 to the time travelling Tardis.

All of these things can make a difference to those boring serviced offices and if these gadgets aren’t enough for you then look into getting some more interesting office furniture. So buy office chairs that is a bit different to see a difference in the way people work, you never know it could make a difference

Try Getting A Unique Office

if you have a very unique looking place then it is well worth it because you could be bringing in a lot more customers.

Of course if you are looking to get your first office it can be costly to actually get something that is a bit different so this really isn’t for you, look for something simple for the first office. If you are into expanding the business then this is what you need.

Whatever you do, do not go for the first place you see that looks the same as your previous place, look for somewhere nice. You need to try and look for something that most companies do not have.

House

A house could be the next step for your company. You have at least two floors in a home and more if you want to expand up into the loft. This basically means you could have three floors of people working in just one house. It not only makes the look a bit different to the normal office, it automatically comes with a kitchen and a bathroom.

Church

Yes there are many churches out there that are looking to sell up for a number of reasons. A church could be the thing that your company needs as it is a bit different and not many places can call a church their main office. This gives you an edge over competition as it is something people will know you for.

Custom

Of course you could always design your own office. This has proved to be a great sucess for many companies. Put a stop to the serviced offices, get rid of all of the awful ergonomic chair and get some decent office seating.

The Normal Games That Are Played In The Office

There are hundreds of games out there that can be played in the office from the very normal ones to the slightly silly ones. So what are the more traditional ones that people tend to play when they are a bit bored in the office or it is that last day before the Christmas break?

Paper Planes

This one is still very popular in the office as it allows people to remember the times in which they were young, free and able to mess around. It is great because it always turns into a competition on who can make the fastest and best looking plane. Aim for the heads with this one as it seems to cause the most laughs.

Classic PC Games

This is one in which you just cannot do if the boss is lurking around somewhere, wait until he is out. It is very simple to access as every PC comes with a few games for people to play around with when they are a bit bored. Although I would say that where possible it is better to use the games on the net. This is good if the net is being watched. Each windows has different games in which you can play and some of them even have pinball.

Chair Racing

This has to be the best one on the list and is something that people should try at least once. Of course by doing this you could really end up hurting someone who is just about to walk around the corner but surely thats part of the fun?

This is best used for companies with multiple floors as you can race from the bottom to top using the chairs although I would say do not use the stairs as it hurts. Not so good for the serviced offices as they have too many bits of furniture within them.

Move the office furniture out of the way and have a go at some of these games, you could always try racing around on a Ergonomic Chair.
